Our Mission
Our mission is to help LGBTQ+ people facing difficult or uncertain circumstances move toward greater safety, stability, and independence. Through compassionate guidance, trusted resources, advocacy, and community connection, RFTF helps people understand their options and take the next steps that are right for them.
Our Story
Rainbow Flight To Freedom began with personal conversations with young LGBTQIA+ people living in places where simply being themselves could put their safety, freedom, and future at risk.
As those stories became personal, doing nothing was no longer acceptable.
RFTF was created to provide a lawful, structured path toward something many of us take for granted: the opportunity to live openly, safely, honestly, and without apology.

Kimrick “Mac” McCarney
Founder, President & CEO
Kimrick “Mac” McCarney, MBKS is the Founder, President & CEO of Rainbow Flight To Freedom. Inspired by personal conversations with LGBTQ+ people facing circumstances where living openly could threaten their safety, freedom, and future, Mac helped turn compassion into action. He leads RFTF with a commitment to dignity, advocacy, and creating meaningful pathways toward safety and stability for those who need them most.
Kevin D. Klump
Vice President & Chief Creative Officer
Kevin D. Klump serves as Vice President & Chief Creative Officer of Rainbow Flight To Freedom, helping shape how the organization communicates its mission and connects with the people and communities it serves. Drawing on his background in design, communications, and digital media, Kevin oversees RFTF’s creative direction and works to ensure its message remains welcoming, accessible, and grounded in compassion, dignity, and hope.
